I am the founder of Sheffield Woodland Kindergarten Ltd, having established our Lynwood setting in 2014.
Prior to this I worked as a child minder following the birth of my second child, Tom, where I introduced a forest school element into the setting, along with daily outings to the local woodlands. As my passion for this continued to grow I began to set up outdoor educational programmes within the local community. From this the principles and ethos of SWK were born!
I have seen the benefits the children gain through spending time outdoors developmentally on all levels and am passionate about sharing this with others. I feel privileged to be working as part of the Kindy team and its families, past and present, sharing my passion with like minded people.
I am the mother of four children, Amelia (Millie), Tom and our new twin addition, Arthur and Edmund, who we cant wait to get started at Kindy!
I completed my degree in Criminology and Psychology in 2007, which included modules on child development and child psychology.
